My Backpack

Michelle Posani

Hello there! My name is Michelle Posani and I have been teaching at St. Paul School for 8 years. I taught First Grade for 7 years and I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten! I am a St. Paul alumn and graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School in 2000. It's awesome to be working with some of the same wonderful teachers that taught me! I originally went to school at Columbus State in their Culinary Arts program. After 2 semesters I felt that God was calling me to be a teacher. I still have a passion for cooking and baking and love making up or tweaking new recipes.

I went to Ohio Dominican University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach PreK-3. I am currently taking graduate courses through Humbolt State University. I am  trained in Orton Gillingham which is a language-based, multisensory, structured, sequential, cumulative, cognitive and flexible approach of learning the basics of word formation, It is visual, auditory and kinesthetic. I believe that young children learn best through "doing" and playing. I love a hands on approach to teaching and can't wait to see what the new school year brings!
